About AV1:
AV1 is a modern, open, and royalty-free video codec developed by the Alliance for Open Media (AOMedia) that is the successor to VP9 and promises to deliver 30% less bitrates for the same quality compared to H.265/HEVC and 50% compared to H.264/AVC. So that translates to having a very low sized movie but still with amazing quality (And you can stream and play it on common browsers!).


How to play AV1:
A modern codec requires a modern video player, we recommend MPV but MPC-HC/BE and VLC is also acceptable. Other players might work but we cannot guarantee them to have the latest version of the AV1 decoder (Which means higher CPU usage and laggy video)
